Why nmrl?

I created nmrl books to be a space for women of color to find books and discover authors who are also women of color.

You will always find a small and sweet selection of books here. The books on the shelf will change to showcase a lot of different authors. After all, this is a boutique bookstore.

As a black woman, I haven’t truly felt or been in a community of total support for my and my sisters since I attended Spelman College. We need these spaces; nmrl books is my contribution to this work (the work of creating spaces for women of color to just be).

I am Kristin Clermont a lover of Calculus; an engineer by profession; a yogi by choice; and a lover of books and reading.
